Angela Evelyn Bassett has been an American actor since the late 1980s. In the film and television industry, she's known for her numerous nominations and awards. Bassett was born in New York New York and raised by an aunt who lived in Winston-Salem North Carolina. Bassett moved with her older sister St. Petersburg Florida at five years old in order to be closer to their mother, who was separated from her father. Bassett watched the James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play as she was still in high school, and realised that acting is what she wanted to do. She went to Yale University New Haven Connecticut receiving a bachelor's degree (1980) on African American studies and a master's degree (1983) from the Yale School of Drama. At Yale she came across Courtney B. Vance a co-actor and they got married in 1997. Qualification: B.A. Degree in African-American Studies in 1980. Graduate in Fine Arts from Yale School of Drama School. Jordan Park Elementary School Disston Middle School (7th grade), Azalea Middle School (8th and 9th grade), Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead roles, Ramonda, in the action-adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda forever (2022).
